FINAL PROJECT

Layers 

From overlapping scraps of paper to abstract lines on plexiglass where I emphasize emotions. 'Cut art' is the technique I use that allows me to omit, add, cut out and overlap planes and lines. In this process I used photographs that are the basis of my work, but through the techniques and materials move to the essence of shapes and lines. I started working with very diverse materials: from Pritt to acrylics to sandpaper and oil crayons, etc. My basic materials include plexiglass and transparencies that form an important part of each work between them.

The transparencies also provide the layering in my work, reinforcing the visual language that I have made my own through the process.
